APLAN Inc., formerly APLAN Information Services Inc. was formed as a spin-off of The Boeing Company's Computer Services Group in 1984. It is headquartered in Newport Beach, CA. Boeing pioneered the commercial use of "war room" techniques with their proprietary problem solving approach called CONSENSUS. When Boeing discontinued this consulting practice, Inez Marino was encouraged to continue this business and support existing customers.

Today APLAN continues to work with a number of those original customer in addition to many Fortune 1000, Utility, R&D Laboratory and Government Agencies. APLAN has been involved with some of the most challenging Aerospace, Health Care, Engineer & Construction, Financial Services, Transportation, Manufacturing & Retail Food projects, leading thousands of IT, business, scientific and engineering professionals to successfully design solutions to their most complex business, system architecture, process engineering, e-business and M&A problems.
